Diabetes is the leading cause of amputation of lower limbs throughout the world. According to the International Diabetes Federation, diabetic patients undergo more amputations than people who lose a leg subsequent to accidents in traffic, labour or combat. In spite of this fact, not enough diabetic patients are receiving their foot check, and diabetic amputation is preventable with a regular check. To prevent this tragedy, an Ethesiometer has been developed. The Visiting Nurse simply tests the diabetic foot with the app designed for this device and all the data is gathered and sent to Ministry of Health. This big data will be used to analyse and manage diabetics efficiently.
